Xbox Game Pass is getting another major wave of games as Microsoft prepares to add several high-profile titles between September and early October 2026.

The latest lineup includes Dune: Awakening, Minecraft Dungeons II, Ninja Gaiden 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and Gears of War: E-Day, alongside several smaller releases and Game Pass updates.
Microsoft announced the new additions on September 15, with games arriving across Xbox consoles, PC, cloud gaming and supported handheld devices depending on the title.
Dune: Awakening Arrives September 22
One of the biggest additions is Dune: Awakening, which arrives on September 22 for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass.
The open-world survival game combines exploration, crafting, building and RPG elements within the world of Dune. Players can experience the game alone or with others while attempting to survive on the dangerous planet of Arrakis.
For fans of survival games and the Dune universe, this gives Game Pass subscribers another large-scale title to dive into.
Ninja Gaiden 4 Joins
Another major addition arrives even earlier.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming to Game Pass on September 17 across Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
The latest entry brings back the long-running action franchise with a focus on fast-paced combat, combining its established style with new gameplay ideas.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gets Added to Premium
On September 25, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will become available to Game Pass Premium subscribers, joining its existing availability on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
The Treyarch and Raven Software-developed shooter features a cinematic campaign, multiplayer and the return of round-based Zombies.
Minecraft Dungeons II Arrives September 29
Minecraft fans also have something to look forward to.
Minecraft Dungeons II launches into Game Pass on September 29 as a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Players will enter a new dimension known as the Sift, where they will explore unfamiliar environments, battle new threats and customise their equipment as they progress.
Gears of War: E-Day Lands October 6
The biggest late-period release could be Gears of War: E-Day, which arrives on October 6 as a day-one Game Pass release.
The game takes players 14 years before the original Gears of War, focusing on Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during Emergence Day the event that saw the Locust Horde emerge and begin its assault.
It will be available on Xbox Series X|S, supported handheld devices, PC and Cloud for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
More Games Coming in September
The lineup isn’t limited to the major releases.
On September 16, subscribers will also get Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana II, Routine and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon, while September 17 brings Kernel Hearts alongside Ninja Gaiden 4.
Other additions include Well Dweller on September 22 and Mad King Redemption on September 23. Keeper follows on October 2.
Game Pass Essential subscribers will also gain access to REMATCH on September 25.
Games Leaving Game Pass
As new games arrive, several titles are also scheduled to leave the Game Pass library on September 30.
The departing games include:
- Atomfall
- Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
- Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition
- Little Rocket Lab
- Sifu
- SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato
- Sworn
- Terminull Brigade
Microsoft recommends that subscribers interested in these games play them before they leave the service.
The Game Pass Lineup Keeps Growing
With major releases such as Dune: Awakening, Ninja Gaiden 4, Minecraft Dungeons II and Gears of War: E-Day arriving within just a few weeks, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a busy period ahead.
