Next-Level Gaming Is Coming — And It’s Not Tied to One Device according to Xbox

In a bold move set to redefine the future of gaming, Xbox has announced a strategic multi-year partnership with AMD to develop custom chips for a wide range of gaming devices — including the next generation of consoles.
According to Sarah Bond, President of Xbox, the partnership is part of a broader vision to give gamers more freedom to play how and where they want. From consoles to handhelds, PCs to cloud gaming, Xbox is investing in hardware that delivers high-quality, immersive experiences across platforms — and Ghanaian gamers stand to benefit too.
“Together with AMD, we’re pushing the boundaries of gaming technology,” said Bond. “This means better graphics, smarter AI, and seamless compatibility with your existing games — all while opening the door for more flexible, mobile, and connected gaming.”
The collaboration will focus on co-engineering next-gen silicon (chips), enhancing both performance and energy efficiency. This means faster load times, stunning visuals, and smarter gameplay, powered by artificial intelligence.

Even more significant is company renewed focus on Windows as the top global gaming platform, aiming to ensure players can enjoy their favorite titles across devices — including PCs, laptops, and potentially even handhelds in the future.
