“We want as many people as possible to experience the mayhem.”
Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developers Lucid Games and Wushu Studios have delayed Destruction AllStars from its previously planned PlayStation 5 launch day release on November 12 as a full-priced title to February 2021, where it will be included with PlayStation Plus for two months at no additional cost.
“Destruction AllStars is a multiplayer game that’s at its best when you’re competing with gamers online from all around the world,” said Sony Interactive Entertainment product development director Pete Smith in a PlayStation Blog post. “We want as many people as possible to experience the mayhem on PlayStation 5, and what better way to do that than to provide the game to our PlayStation Plus members?”
Users who have already pre-ordered the game, be it via PlayStation Store, PlayStation.com, or at retail, will have their purchase refunded.
Sony Interactive Entertainment will release a new trailer and more information on the game next week. If you missed our previous coverage, read more about the game here.
