Xbox is the gift that keeps on giving,Rainbow Six Extraction getting the game pass love.
Tactical cooperative first-person shooter Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will be available via Xbox Game Pass for Console, Cloud, and PC on day one, publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Montreal announced.
Ubisoft also announced that it will bring its Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox platforms in the future. Originally launched for PC, the service allows access to more than 100 Ubisoft titles at a single monthly cost, including games and downloadable content available on launch day, and monthly rewards including cosmetics, boosters, in-game items, and more. This will be a separate subscription and not included as part of Xbox Game Pass.
“By making Rainbow Six Extraction available to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members on the day and date of its launch via Xbox Game Pass, we’re demonstrating that we believe in the value and choice that game subscriptions offer to players,” said Ubisoft senior vice president of strategic partnerships and business development Chris Early in a statement. “Rainbow Six Extraction for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members is just the beginning. Ultimately, we will offer the Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox owners so that they can enjoy the full extent of our Ubisoft+ game library, including new releases, on their consoles.”
Xbox game creator experience and ecosystem corporate vice president Sarah Bond added, “With Rainbow Six Extraction, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members are getting another blockbuster added to their library on the same day the title launches. And because Rainbow Six Siege will be on both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass as well, the Rainbow Six community and fans of tactical shooters will have plenty to look forward to playing together, no matter where they play.”
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on January 20.
