Launching in invitation-only early access today in the United States.
Amazon has announced Luna, a new cloud gaming service designed for instant play and launching in invitation-only early access in the United States today.
Luna games can be played across various devices. At launch it will be available across Fire TV, PC, and Mac, as well as via web apps for iOS at launch. Android support is coming soon.
A Luna+ subscription will cost $5.99 per month during the early access period and provide instant access to a growing library of games, including action games like Resident Evil 7: biohazard, Control, and Panzer Dragoon: Remake; adventure games like A Plague Tale: Innocence and The Surge 2; platformers like Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair and Iconoclasts; and other games like GRID, ABZU, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Subscribers can also play on two devices simultaneously and get resolutions of up to 4K at 60 frames per second for select titles.
Amazon also announced a new gaming channel in partnership with Ubisoft available directly through Luna. Users who subscribe to this channel (which is separate from a Luna+ subscription) will receive access to Ubisoft titles in up to 4K resolution, mobile gameplay, and access to new titles like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, and Immortals: Fenyx Rising day and date with their release. This is the first of multiple Luna game channels in development.
Customers in the United States can visit the Amazon Luna landing page now to request early access.
